WAYE Sang the News in the 70s

Am I delusional or just the only one who remembers the singing news on WAYE - AM radio in Baltimore during the early 70s? As I recall, the opening bumper ditty for the news went like this, "WAYE now sings the news - with social comments and far out views." Anyone else out there remember this? Do any tapes exist?

    You are not delusional; I just thought of this very thing and googled to see if anyone else remembered it. I guess you and I are the only ones!

    I too was thinking of it, and just googled it! IIRC, the next lines were "and all the news's an absolute fact, so don't get mad if we lack tact." The singer might have been called "Scratch."
